Shipley Hill Master Plan
Baltimore, MD
This master plan of the Shipley Hill neighborhood
of Baltimore is a mixed-use development located west of downtown
adjacent to the Gwynns Falls converting current industrial use to
predominately residential use. The design included analysis of existing
use and structures and focused on two areas of new development.
The Southwest Town Center focused around a town square surrounded
by the existing brewery complex to the north, new townhouses to
the east and west and a new branch library to the south. The Gwynns
Falls area strengthened the existing fabric along a major street,
while maintaining significant historical structures and creating
hi-rise construction which takes advantage of views of the Falls
and downtown.
