Kathleen M. Lechleiter is the founder of k.lechleiter ARCHITECT LLC. She received her Master of Architecture from the University of Nebraska and received her B.A. and Bachelor of Architecture from North Dakota State University. Ms. Lechleiter is an experienced professional with over 17 years of practice as a registered architect including work in Arizona, Minnesota, Washington D.C., and Maryland. Ms. Lechleiter has been in executive positions with previous firms including a partnership with 2fortyoneArchitecture, P.A., a Vice President with Hord Coplan Macht, Inc., (both in Baltimore, MD), and as a majority owner with Xerxes Architects Inc. in Minneapolis, MN.

While the managing principal with Xerxes Architects in Minneapolis, she received the AIA Minnesota Young Architects Citation for recognition of high quality design and service in the first ten years of practice. In addition, projects managed by Ms. Lechleiter have received design awards from the Baltimore Chapter of the AIA, AIA/Minnesota, National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, and Minnesota Physicians.

She has extensive experience in both commercial and multi-family housing including historic renovation. In addition, she has experience in programming, feasibility studies, and space planning for complex public and private sector clients. Ms. Lechleiter is registered in Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington D.C., and is NCARB certified. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects and Rotary International.
